As expected, the date is finally announced for the Mayotte-Mahajanga and Mayotte-Nosy-Be routes.

“Ewa Air resumes its rotations to Mahajanga from Friday. And Sunday, Ewa's ATR will land in Nosy Be. A rotation per week is planned for the moment for each of these destinations. » announces the Journal de Mayotte this Tuesday 12 April 2022.

Actually, the Malagasy authorities have authorized Ewa Air to carry out three weekly flights on the Dzaoudzi-Diego routes, Dzaouzi-Mahajanga, Dzaouzi-Nosy-Be.

Towards a real resumption of flights !

Also, the national company Air Madagascar resumes service between Antananarivo and Reunion from 20 April with two flights per week, including Wednesday and Saturday.

Departing from Antananarivo, the trip will cost from 367 euro against 409 euros if departing from Reunion.

Reminder, the Malagasy authorities currently authorize 07 airlines to serve Madagascar for passenger flights and cargo flights.

• Madagascar Airlines : 01 flight per week between Paris – Tana, and 02 weekly flights between Reunion – Tana,
• Air France : 03 passenger flights and 02 cargo flights per week between Paris – Tana,
• For Air Mauritius : 04 weekly flights between Mauritius-Tana
• Air Austral : 06 weekly flights between La Réunion-Tana, Reunion-Nosy-Be, and Reunion-Toamasina,
• The authorities have not yet defined the frequency of charter flights (Neos),
• Ewa Air : 03 weekly flights on the Dzaoudzi-Diego routes, Dzaouzi-Mahajanga, Dzaouzi-Nosy-Be
• Ethiopian Airlines : 02 cargo flights per week, for now.

On the other hand, Turkish Airlines, which is among the companies announced by the Council of Ministers of the 30 Mars as authorized to operate on the Big Island, not yet on the first wave list.

More flexible measures on arrival

Travel conditions to Madagascar are now less restrictive.

The PCR test on arrival is replaced by a simple antigen test.

The authorities have also removed the obligation of confinement when entering Madagascar, except for passengers who tested positive for Covid-19.

If the result of the antigen test is positive, the passenger must confine himself to the hotel or to a care center approved by the State for a period of at least seven days, until you test negative for Covid-19.
