Ewa Air : 03 weekly flights between Mayotte – Mahajanga/Diego/Nosy-Be

Ewa Air is among the seven airlines authorized to resume passenger flights and cargo flights to and from Madagascar. She will perform 03 weekly flights between Mayotte – Mahajanga/Diego/Nosy-Be. We are just waiting for the date.

Ewa Air is already ready to fly to Madagascar

The Malagasy authorities authorize Ewa Air to carry out three weekly flights on the Dzaoudzi-Diego routes, Dzaoudzi-Mahajanga et Dzaoudzi-Nosy-Be.

For all these reasons, Ayub Ingar, the director of Ewa Air, like all the staff of the company are delighted with this long-awaited news.

And they are just waiting for the official notification of this announcement, i.e., from when could he resume flights to the big island.

Planes remain grounded desperately since March 2020 with the closure of the Malagasy sky.

« As soon as the confirmation is sent to us, it will take us just 48 hours to charter and fill the planes. » confirm Ayub Ingar.

He will actually encounter no difficulty in selling the tickets because the people of Mayotte are so keen to find their loved ones that they have not seen since that time. !

It must be recognized that the inhabitants of Mayotte are in high expectation of the reopening of flights from Mayotte to the island of Madagascar. Family and economic ties are indeed important between the two islands.. On the other hand, regional cooperation is now at the end of its rope.

Why not open immediately ?

The Malagasy government wants all provincial airports to be equipped like Ivato airport. It therefore remains now for the 3 airports are equipped with baggage screening precious metal detection equipment.

Nosy Be airport is managed by a private company belonging to the Bouygues group, the material has been purchased, it is being sent to Nosy Be.

On the other hand, with regard to the airports of Mahajanga and Diego Suarez, they are managed by a public company. Finances are not the same. And they are still waiting for the equipment so that commercial flights can finally resume.. The Malagasy government is committed to buying the equipment.
