Mayotte : BIO in charge of the management of European Funds

What is the goal of the GIP Europe in Mayotte? ?

The GIP Europe in Mayotte was created a few years ago to manage European funds more effectively.. This with a strengthened partnership between the prefecture and the Departmental Council.

During the first part of the mandate, it was the prefect of Mayotte who was the president of the GIP. Starting next week, it’s Ousseni Ben Issa (BIO), the president of the Departmental Council, who will head the institution.

In the daily organization, nothing will change since the GIP exists and it examines funding requests and liquidates the subsidies to be granted. He will continue to do so.

The advantages of the GIP for Mayotte

The most important decisions will be taken by a two-thirds majority. And we, we will ensure that the presidency is well alternated so that we ensure it for the period 2024-2027 », specifies Soibahadine Ramadani, the president of the community.
