Ivato International Airport #MyMadagascar #MahajangaMaVille construction

Continue the planning and extension work at the level of the Ivato international airport and society Ravinala Airports (constituted by the airport of Paris Management, Bouygues building International, Colas Madagascar and Africa Meridian) needs three years to finish what she started.

Now, the tarmac of Ivato was lengthened several hundreds of meters, to accommodate jumbo jets, including the Airbus A-380.

Then, the new buildings, which will be built at the level of the former military camp of the regiment of the intervention forces (RFI) and the Ivato naval base (BANI) will serve as a terminal for international flights (the old building and the premises of the Ivato airport will be spent only on domestic flights). The total area of these buildings of about 17500 m² should accommodate 1,5 million passengers per year.

It should be recalled that this building will have 3 gateways that will embark or disembark passengers on airplanes directly, without going through the tarmac. On the other hand, This new structure should be able to support 4 jumbo jets, whose 3 directly in bridge.

Once the work is completed (normally planned for mid-2019 and standards of the Transport Association international air-IATA -.), the company Ravinala Airport will manage these infrastructure during a period of 28 years (under the terms of the partnership agreement signed between the consortium and the Malagasy State).

    Very nice project has the height of the demand of regular travelers , our airport in the Indian Oveaan we need new building “a little bigger” with an on-the-top ramp in addition would be a better.
