News on flights to Madagascar

Reminder, Madagascar's borders have been open since 23 October 2021 for regional flights, i.e., flights from neighboring islands such as Reunion and Mauritius. Madagascar Airlines : Change of flight schedule between Paris – She is

At the present time, Madagascar Airlines operates the Paris line – Tana with one flight per week.

The latter will make changes to its flight program as of 31 January and until 31 March 2022. He will operate 02 flights per week ; every sunday and tuesday.

ANTANANARIVO - PARIS (every Tuesday)

• Departure from Antananarivo : 01h00 – Arrival Paris : 10h00

PARIS - ANTANANARIVO (every Sunday)

• Departure from Paris : 20h00 – Arrival Antananarivo : 09h00

Air France : Flight schedule adjustment

Air France operated the France – Madagascar route with 3 weekly flights every Monday, Wednesdays and Saturdays. These flights depart from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) towards Antananarivo Ivato airport (TNR).

For the month of February 2022, the company will replace these Wednesday flights with cargo flights, as part of an adjustment to its flight schedule.

Other flights remain unchanged. They would operate the line as before. These other flights are, among others, that of Monday and that of Saturday which connects Paris and Antananarivo. A source from the 2424.mg newspaper with Air Austral reported this news.

Air Austral for the Reunion line – Antananarivo

Air Austral connects Reunion/Tana with two weekly rotations by Airbus A220, with a capacity of 132 seats.

There are currently a lot of unfulfilled booking requests on this line in both directions. Air Austral therefore has a demand that is much higher than the supply.

The company wishes to offer as soon as possible a third frequency per week in Airbus A220.

The company also asked if it would be possible to grant capacity increases on the two weekly rotations, by authorizing them to switch to Boeing 787 with a capacity of 262 seats.
