Madagascar expected at the World Swimming Championships

Madagascar will have two representatives at the World Swimming Championships 2 to the 18 February 2024 in Doha. "Jonathan Harivony Raharivel and Idealy Tendrinavalona have benefited from wild card", reports the secretary general of the Malagasy Swimming Federation. These two swimmers are residents of the high level center in Thailand during the season 2022-2023. “The scholarship holders will automatically go to the World Championships”, continues the Malagasy Swimming Federation.

Madagascar will also be at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024

Their performance at the Madagascar Championships in Toamasina in April and during the Island Games also influenced Madagascar aquatics to choose these two swimmers.

Jonathan Harivony Raharivelo and Idealy Tendrinavalona are also well placed to represent Madagascar at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.

The general secretary of the federation indicates that their presence in Fukuoka, Japan, and in Doha 2024 will meet the criteria to obtain an invitation to participate by the International Olympic Committee (CIO).
