Madagascar Airlines : New ATR-72, new flight

According to sources close to the company, The delivery of this plane is scheduled for Ivato International Airport. This acquisition is part of a strategy of rationalization of the fleet and standardization of the devices. Madagascar Airlines has thus chosen to focus exclusively on interior flights.

L’Atr-72, perfectly suited to local conditions, will strengthen the frequency and punctuality of domestic bonds. This investment is crucial for the company's survival and economic recovery. After the acquisition of a first ATR-72 last December, This second device marks an important step in the modernization of the company.

A recovery plan for Madagascar Airlines

The World Bank is preparing an additional loan of 35 Millions of dollars to modernize the infrastructure and strengthen the competitiveness of Madagascar Airlines. The Malagasy state has reaffirmed its commitment to support the national company. The objective is to make Madagascar Airlines viable on the operational and financial levels in the years to come.
