Let's fight together against plastic pollution

Let's fight together against plastic pollution

Let's fight together against plastic pollution

Plastic waste has become a pervasive threat to public health, livelihoods and the environment. It is in this sense that we must all fight together against plastic pollution and keep our world clean..

Stop the use of plastics

Many problems are linked to plastic pollution. Plastics are here to stay and can take hundreds of thousands of years to break down.

The harmful effects of plastics affect all living things in all ecosystems on the planet. This pollution is inevitable and has repercussions on health, the livelihoods and health conditions of people around the world.

Today, the production of plastic far exceeds our ability to manage it when it becomes waste, and current quantities are expected to triple by 2050, unless we manage to change our current habits. It becomes an emergency for all. We must stop the use of plastics.

For a clean world

Madagascar, decree no. 2017-010 the 03 January 2017 was set up by the Ministry of the Environment to put an end to the use of plastic bags. This decree establishes the regulations for the prohibition of the production, import, commercialization, the constitution of stock and the use of plastic bags on the national territory

Unlike other waste, plastic can be reused and continue to serve, but this requires specific sorting and processing processes.

« Doing Blue is one of the Malagasy associations that recycle hard plastics.

This association has set up waste collection for the city of Morondava in partnership with the municipality. Indeed, the principle is simple : the city collects local waste and “Manao Manga” sorts it, cleaning as well as their transformation.

Organic waste is turned into fertilizer, hard plastics in furniture and soft plastics in fuel.

At Majunga, the « Network vert Boeny is one of the associations working in the fight against plastic pollution, especially at the level of the beautiful beaches of the region.

Coco Lodge Majunga also continues its commitment to the fight against pollution. And for environmental conservation, we follow an environmental policy.
