Air Austral : Increase in requests on the Reunion line – Antananarivo

There are currently many unsatisfied reservation requests on the Réunion/Tana line in both directions. Air Austral therefore has a demand that is much higher than the supply.

Currently, there are two weekly rotations in Airbus A220, with a capacity of 132 seats but it is insufficient.

This problem is the direct consequence of the failure at the top of the State in the appointment of the Director General of the ACM, according to an article in the Gazette de la grande île du 13 January 2022.

Third frequency per week

Air Austral wishes to offer a third frequency per week as soon as possible by Airbus A220.

The company also asked if it would be possible togrant capacity increases on the two weekly rotations, by authorizing them to switch to Boeing 787 with a capacity of 262 seats.

Ticket prices to go to Madagascar

Currently, the two flights per week’Air Austral between Reunion – Antananarivo are carried out on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The ticket price is from 701 Euro one way – return in economy class. On his website, the company reports that tickets are changeable (possible price difference applicable) and refundable. And this, whatever price you choose.
