Collaboration between Algeria and Madagascar

The 21 February 2024 last, President Rajoelina received SEM Filali Ghouini, new ambassador of Algeria to Madagascar. The new Ambassador of the Algerian Democratic Republic, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic Andry RAJOELINA during the official handover ceremony held at the Iavoloha State Palace.

Objective met during the ceremony

As the first Ambassador received by the President of the Republic for this second term, SEM Filali GHOUINI conveyed the warm greetings of the President of Algeria to the Malagasy Head of State.

This meeting is of particular importance, symbolizing the continuity and strengthening of diplomatic ties between Madagascar and Algeria. With a view to consolidating a mutually beneficial collaboration, the strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the economic fields, commercial, cultural, higher education and vocational training was discussed on the sidelines of the presentation of the accreditation letters of the new ambassador.

Major asset for the development of the big island

He stressed that every year, Algeria grants several scholarships to Malagasy students. Both countries commit to deepen ties of cooperation and partnership, to establish a solid foundation for mutually beneficial collaboration.

President Andry Rajoelina continues to do what is necessary to put Madagascar forward. This by collaborating with several foreign countries. As he always says “ Madagascar must move forward », which can be translated as : “Madagascar must develop”.
