The Tunis African Open is a Judo competition that takes place, as the name suggests in Tunis, in Tunisia. The competition brings together the five continents, with 38 participating countries, 208 competitors, whose 123 men and 85 women. The young Malagasy Laura Rasoanaivo won the gold medal in the Juniors category 70 kg of this competition this year. She won her fight against the Lithuanian Ugne Pileckaite.

Madagascar Champion, Laura Rasoanaivo was also a gold medalist at the Games of the Islands 2019, then gold medalist at the Reunion International Tournament in 2020. She becomes African champion in 2022 when she only has 18 years. In perpetual quest for excellence, she is aiming for Olympic medals in 2024.

Madagascar will host the African Cadet and Junior Judo Championship

Madagascar will also welcome this year the African judo championships of the cadet and junior categories.
