The Palace of Sports and the Mahamasina culture, Antananarivo, therefore hosted the first edition of the "S".Alon gastronomy and tourism "in Madagascar which took place from 27 to the 30 August.
ALI-Event, This exhibition organiser, brought together 80 exhibitors of 22 parts of the big island for a sharing of specialties that make the distinction and fame of Madagascar.

It was an opportunity for each region to present its tourist attractions, culinary specialities as well as its culture. The exhibitors and the visitors also had the opportunity to create a proximity and Exchange. Aliravaka, leader of this event commented : "The show was both for culinary and tourism and hospitality".

50.000 people came for the duration of the exhibition.
During his four days, several animations and activities were presented.
A gustative journey waiting for visitors to this show.
Workshops, exchanges and exhibitions were on the program.
Several demonstrations have awakened the interest of assistance and visitors.
A tasting of typical dishes there was proposed and a competition of the largest «wanton»..
A culinary art contest that was not intended only for professionals place there also.
Fans could register and discover the Chef who sleeps in them.

The show therefore aims to facilitate the relations between producers and professionals, but also consumers.
Collaborations are created to enhance the development of gastronomy, tourism and the hospitality of the big island.

Apart from regional offices, a large number of tourism professionals have their presence gratife this first edition of the fair of gastronomy and tourism.
This allowed to publicize the advantages of Madagascar and also and above all to develop the country's tourist sector.
