The United States tend the arm to the Minister Ralava Beboarimisa. They confirm their recognition on the efforts and initiatives, companies so far, the environment in Madagascar.

Much remains to be done to the environment and biodiversity in Madagascar ! This week, the Minister of the environment, Ecology, the sea and the forests, Jonathan Chelet attended the World Water Day Global Water Security Summit, held in Washington, in the United States. This is an invitation from the USWP (United States Water Partnership) confirming a recognition of the Americans on the efforts and initiatives undertaken so far by the Malagasy Department dedicated to the environment. Note that the USWP is a platform that offers opportunities for public-private partnership to establish solutions to immediate impacts, but with effects on the long term in the context of the safety of the water, both the United States and the rest of the world.

This move allowed the holding of an interview session to consolidate prospects for cooperation between the two countries ; marked by a new meeting between Jonathan Dirassen and Dr. Shannon Smith, Assistant Under-Secretary of State in the Office of the U.S. African Affairs, which was already visited in November last in Madagascar. Through this participation, Madagascar joined the will to implement a policy of sectoral cooperation able to solve as soon as possible of the structural and recurring problems on environmental topics. A perspective of collaboration that the Americans are present.

Priorities.
At the conference, held the 22 March to the United States for the peace Institute (Washington D.C), the Malagasy Minister of the environment, also in charge of the Department of the sea, has presented the hydrographic network of Madagascar, the phenomena and specific aspects of the island concerning the risks and impacts which the country is facing around environmental safety related to water but especially to oceans, the rise of the level of the sea due to climate change, poor management of waste from the oceans and the case of floods in some parts of the country so that other areas suffer the extreme dryness.

"We had the opportunity to speak about national priorities on capacity-building., the integrated management of water resources, active reforestation and innovative solutions such as anaerobic digestion or the transformation of solid or liquid waste into combustible gas which can generate quantifiable and renewable energy to be sold as carbon credit (REDD +) », We reported the Minister. Indeed, the latter expressed the importance of each project with a process that requires that each actor plays without unconformity its own role through a shared responsibility.

Presented priorities include corporate environmental and social responsibility. Jonathan Chelet also stressed the need to develop and experiment new international synergies to create cooperative solutions, innovative, concrete, based on sustainability and profitable as many developed countries to developing countries, to bequeath to future generations a healthier planet in legacy.
