The third edition of the Cross Mada VTT is currently taking place on the big island until 12 January 2024. Indeed, Madagascar is a new destination for sports tourism.

Madagascar is increasingly asserting itself as a destination for sports tourism with the launch of the 3rd edition of the Cross Mada VTT which began last Sunday.

This year, six runners will explore the RN trails 3, RN 44 and RN 2 to reach Toamasina by exiting via the Ivoloina park located at 15 km north of this city. They will cover a total distance of approximately 450 km which will be done in six days maximum according to Gilles Ridel, event designer and organizer.

Cross Mada VTT 2024 : An exceptional edition

A third edition notably marked by the participation of world champion and Olympic champion Miguel MARTINEZ, who is discovering the Big Island for the first time and who is already showing his desire to return and promote Madagascar to mountain bike enthusiasts around the world.

In addition to sport and discovery, they will take united action, providing support to needy populations along their journey and is already considering collaborations with local humanitarian associations.

With the aim of diversifying tourist offers and developing this niche product, the Ministry of Tourism remains open and provides support for the realization of such projects, thus encouraging operators to become more involved.
