Ankoay men emerged victorious against the Egyptian national team in the Africa Cup 3 final×3. And the ladies are qualified vice-champions. Thank you Ankoay.

They did it. Livio Ratianarivo, Elly Randriamampionona, Arnol Solondrainy and Fiary Rakotonirina are crowned African basketball champions 3×3.

The Ankoay men beat the Egyptian national team (20-17) during the Africa Cup 3 final×3 held in Cairo, Egypt, last Sunday.

The Malagasy selection was able to take its revenge on the host country. The protégés of Jean De Dieu Randrianarivelo lost to the same Pharaohs during the group stage (17-18), Saturday the 03 December 2022.

The tournament was not easy for Elly Randriamampionona and her teammates. In the group stage, the Ankoay conceded two defeats, one against Egypt and another against Rwanda, and obtained a victory against Botswana.

But the Ankoays knew, subsequently, back on track. In the quarter-finals, she beat the Democratic Republic of Congo (18 -11). The Ankoay were able to reach the final by extricating themselves from the Rwandan trap in the semi-final ( 21-14)

In the female category, the Ankoay ladies are vice-champions. Malagasy basketball players lose to Egypt (11-21).

Despite this defeat, Minoharisoa Christiane Jaofera, Harisoa Muriel Hajanirina, Sydonie Marie Andriamihajanirina and Rondro Raherimanana performed a beautiful tournament in Egypt.

Prisca Razananirina's protégés only conceded two defeats during the tournament.

Both against the organizing country, in group stage and final.
