Travel to Madagascar : unchanged visa fees for 2024

According to details provided by the Ministry of Tourism, visa fees for stays in Madagascar remain unchanged for the year 2024.

Attention ! False information

The Ministry of Tourism of Madagascar wanted to formally deny the erroneous information currently circulating regarding visa fees for stays in the country 2024. Contrary to certain allegations recently appearing on social networks, prices remain unchanged compared to last year, according to an official statement from the Ministry.

This clarification aims to reassure travelers and those in the tourism sector, emphasizing the stability of prices to promote continuous and transparent tourism in Madagascar by 2024.

The fees remain unchanged for 2024

For this year 2024, visa fees remain fixed at 10 euros or 10 US dollars for trips lasting 15 days or less.

For stays from 16 to 30 days, visa fees are established at 35 euros and 37 $, while for travel more than 30 days up to two months, visa fees are respectively 40 euros and 45 $.

Note that the Maximum stay visa issued at the airport is 60 days. Tourists can then request a prolongation with the immigration police service until reaching the maximum length of stay of the tourist visa from 90 days.

This clarification comes after some confusion created by correspondence issued by the Malagasy embassy in Paris last week. The letter in question had initially announced new visa fee rates for foreign travelers to Madagascar. However, it was quickly rectified that these amounts are not yet in force.

The Ministry of Tourism emphasizes the importance of refer to official information from the competent authorities. This will avoid any confusion and ensure transparency of procedures..

Travelers are advised to check for updates on the official website of the Ministry of Tourism. They can also contact embassies before planning their trip.
