Under the aegis of the UCOI, the marketing concept “The vanilla Islands” has been defined early August 2010, during a meeting at the Chamber of Commerce of the meeting between the representatives of Tourist Offices (OT) area.

As a first step, the concept of “Islands vanilla” will strengthen the tourist actions (transport and partnerships) already existing between the Islands and will facilitate the implementation of bilateral actions between the other.
The goal is to revitalize the sector based on the international application and the new trading environment, strengthening the multiple attractiveness of the Indian ocean.
As such, already include pairs such as : Mayotte-Madagascar, Meeting-Maurice, Meeting-Seychelles, Meeting-Madagascar...

Develop awareness of the Indian ocean
The project of the Islands vanilla can be beneficial for Réunion and other islands to make themselves better known on the international market.
The OT will rely first on the differences and specificities of each region's natural and cultural heritage.
The inter-island channels will be facilitated, both at the level of transport, formalities of entry into the territories as partnerships between operators.
