For the movement of spectators and athletes during the Indian Ocean Island Games 2023, Madagascar plans to increase the number of its domestic and international flights.

Madagascar will host the Indian Ocean Islands Games 23 August to 3 September 2023. Indeed, to be able to transport athletes, delegations and spectators to the Big Island but also to the different cities where the competition will take place, the Minister of Transport and Meteorology plans to increase the frequency of domestic and international flights on the Big Island.

It’s a big event during which we will welcome many foreigners from the Indian Ocean and elsewhere.. Actually, arrangements will be made to ensure that they can come.

Besides air transport, land travel is not left out. Apart from the establishment of special committees at the level of each municipality to take care of this point, the member of the government also mentions the commissioning of the urban train for Antananarivo.

Awareness raising will be carried out in order to avoid any danger before its start-up assures the member of the government. Finally “each Ministry which oversees the different disciplines will ensure the movement of the different athletes and delegations during the competition”, explains the Minister again.
