Emirates : Vols directs Dubai – Madagascar

Good news, direct flights linking Madagascar and Dubai could see the light of day soon. This was discussed during a meeting between President Andry Rajoelina, and the Chairman of Emirates Airline & Group, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum the next month.

From direct flights Dubai – Madagascar in perspective

En 2015, the Malagasy authorities and the Emirates Airline company had already discussed a project for direct flights to Dubai – Madagascar, but this did not materialize. The CEO of the company, Sheikh Ahmed received the Malagasy President to discuss this project last Tuesday.

According to the communications department of the Presidency, the realization of the project seems to be on track. Measures are planned to ensure the implementation, notably the creation of a committee bringing together representatives of the Malagasy authorities and experts as well as representatives of Emirates. This committee would work together to develop a cooperation agreement.

Brief, the concrete details of this project, such as flight conditions, prices and launch date, will be clarified as discussions between the two parties progress..

Madagascar is ready

Madagascar says in any case it is ready to welcome flights from this company. President Andry Rajoelina notably assured Emirates of the capacity of Ivato and Nosy Be airports to accommodate large-body flights, with their compliance with international standards.

Emirates currently operates the world's largest fleet of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777, to offer its customers the comfort of the latest and most efficient wide-body aircraft in the sky.
