An Eco-Park in Mahajanga : RENIALA
Boasting excellent access, at the entrance to the city of Mahajanga, the Eco Park Reniala occupies a space of 25ha along the Bombetoka Bay and its mangrove.
This Botanical and Zoological refuge reconstructs a whole ecosystem in which you can admire different representatives of the Malagasy fauna in captivity : 4 species of lemurs (Eulemur and Sifaka), 4 species of turtles, of boas, crocodiles, the Ankoay in their large aviary... Three large enclosures containing ostriches complement these facilities.
The site hosts also a diversity fauna in freedom : birds, chameleons, aquatic animal...
The botanical reserve highlights of endemic species, which some endangered, as well as their medicinal and economic utilities : of Pachypodiums, Succulents like the kalanchoe, trees in forests and savannas…
During the walk, many trees, planted in recent years, provide a benefactress shadow. Imposing baobabs punctuate this property including a located on a point of view, overlooking the Bay of Bombetoka animated by traditional sailing canoes, Observatory enjoyed at sunset.
Awareness of endangered Madagascan species included in the programme of visits, which will be a showcase of national parks the Boeny Region.
