The virtual edition of Aviadev Africa this year took place in the premises Ravinala Airports Antananarivo.

Madagascar hosted the fifth edition of Aviadev Africa for three days. The adaptability of the aeronautical world was at the center of the discussions.
Ravinala Airports hosted the fifth edition of Aviadev Africa. This is'a forum that brings together specialists from the airport world, including airports, airlines and government institutions involved in the tourism sector, to discuss the development, the improvement of new air routes within and outside the African continent.
Due to the pandemic context, the event took place online with more than a thousand participants. On the other hand, the sixth edition will be face-to-face next year and still in Antananarivo. Over forty airlines are reported to have participated in the forum.
Develop air routes
The 9 to the 11 last june, the themes were mainly focused on the development of air routes and the ability of the aeronautical world to adapt to changes in the environment.
Airports were particularly addressed with the theme relating to “understanding airports in a more connected future, which will be an opportunity for Africa”.
Patrick Collard, General Manager of Ravinala Airports did not fail to mention the development of air routes to and from Madagascar. « The Big Island is a top tourist destination. The Minister of Transport, tourism and meteorology, Joël Randriamandranto spoke about maintaining the tourist destination despite the context of Covid-19 and making Tourism an economic recovery strategy. He underlined that the revival of the air sector and Tourism requires the opening up by airports, the process of which is currently underway through numerous private initiatives.
