3ème édition Big Sôma by Hôtel★★★ Restaurant Coco Lodge.

Big Soma Village : Near 275 000 visitors during the Festival.

 

Big Soma association seeks tourism operators to re - invest in their sector in view of the increase in demand in the capital of the Boeny.

 

 

The 3e édition du Festival Big Sôma Village qui s’est déroulée à Mahajanga du 06 to the 14 August 2016 has been a great success. Indeed, « the four objectives that we set, have been achieved. And nearly 275 000 visiteurs ont été enregistrés durant cet événement contre 250 000 visiteurs lors de la dernière édition », has announced Orlando Robimanana, the president and founder of the Big Soma association which organizes this major event.

The first objective is to develop the sport of beach including beach soccer, beach volleyball and basketball to 3 for the benefit of youth by identifying the talented the fokontany level. The 2e objectif vise à assurer le développement social en offrant à toutes les catégories de personnes des loisirs gratuits pour ne citer que les spectacles avec des artistes de renom et des animations comme le zumba et les élections de Miss et Mister. Big Soma association has meanwhile made donations in favour of prisoners and children victims of abuse or orphaned or detained in a rehabilitation centre, and this, working in collaboration with the Court of the First Instance of Mahajanga and local prison administration. As to the 3e Objective, cela consiste à valoriser les cultures et les traditions ainsi que la fabrication de « mokary » qui fait la réputation du quartier d’Ambovoalanana où le fondateur de l’association Big Sôma, Orlando Robimanana grew. Back on the 3e édition du Festival Big Sôma qui s’est tenue au village touristique, the sport of beach has always attracted many spectators. For beach soccer, the fokontany of Tsararanonosikely team won with a score of 6 to 3 during a game end with the team of the fokontany of Mangarivotra. She won a zebu as a trophy on the part of the association Big Soma. On the other hand, the tourist village is now electrified. And what has revived the population, Fireworks were also held on the night of the closing of the event. Shows and different animations are not outdone.
