Madagascar : COMESA Women Entrepreneurs Fair

This year, the fifth edition of the Comesa Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) Trade Fair, will be held in Madagascar. The Fair of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs of Comesa will be scheduled on 14 and the 15 June 2024.

Objectives of the fair

This annual event has already taken place in the African continent, more precisely in Malawi, in Zambia, in Uganda and Egypt. Its objective is toencourage the contribution of different development actors and businesses to promote gender equality and strengthen the economic autonomy of women.

The fair will thus bring together talents, business opportunities and know-how of women entrepreneurs from 21 African countries, which is announced by the Group of Women Entrepreneurs of Madagascar (GFEM).

Feminine independence highlighted

Since its founding in 1993, COMFWB supports the role of women in business by creating a forum for the exchange of ideas and best practices between women entrepreneurs in the region.

During these two days, nearly a hundred exhibitors, more than five hundred women entrepreneurs and three thousand visitors are expected. Experts from several sectors as well as business leaders will be present to create new synergies during B to B meetings, conferences, round tables and a closing gala. This event will also provide business opportunities to local businesses, and Madagascar will have to take advantage of it.

This show is in favor of business women, in order to constantly promote female know-how and the growing economic weight of businesses promoted by women in Madagascar and the region.

A subject that has always been up for debate, female independence. Whether between genders or in large companies, women have always been underestimated at their true value. A woman can successfully manage a business and much more than men. And during this fair, each of us will have the opportunity to see another vision of women.
