Türkiye – Madagascar : Turkish Airlines will increase to three flights per week

Good news for Madagascar's tourism sector. Turkish Airlines will operate three weekly flights between Antananarivo and Istanbul starting in July.

Three flights per week between Türkiye – Madagascar

Currently, Turkish Airlines operates 2 flights per week between Antananarivo and Istanbul but the frequency is “insufficient”.

And to meet the demands of its customers, the company plans to increase its flight frequency from July, with three flights per week.

A strategic meeting took place last Wednesday between the Minister of Transport and Meteorology, Valéry RAMONJAVELO and representatives of the airline Turkish Airlines on this subject in order to strengthen the air partnership through existing connections.

1 millions of tourists on the horizon 2028

This initiative is part of the state’s strategy to attract 1 millions of tourists on the horizon 2028, transport and tourism being essential pillars of economic development on the big island.

Actually, this strengthened collaboration also opens new perspectives for the economic development of Madagascar, in particular by strengthening trade and facilitating air travel, essential elements for growth and

international influence of the country.
