JICA (Japanese Agency for International Cooperation) will present its activities in Madagascar to FIER Mada, which will take place from 3 to the 7 August next to Mahamasina.
Main actor of the largest projects of construction of infrastructure in Madagascar, JICA is also the largest bilateral development assistance organization in the world. "As a Japanese aid agency, It provides assistance to 150 developing countries through ODA (Development assistance). In accordance with the objectives set during the TICAD V (5e Conference Tokyo International for the development of Africa) which was held in Yokohama in 2013, the Government of the Japan is committed to supporting the sustainable development of Africa by injecting approximately 3,200 billion Yen (32 $ billion) of public and private means, including 1,400 billion (14 $ billion) of Yen of aid development until 2017. In order to achieve "resilient and inclusive society" which was proposed during the TICAD V, especially for Madagascar, JICA is involved in a very effective manner in Rural development and Agriculture, "economic development such as infrastructure or urbanism and finally and not least in social development such as Basic Education or health., indicated representatives of JICA Madagascar, in a press release.
