Travel conditions to and from Mayotte

As part of the reopening of airlines between Mayotte and Madagascar, the prefect of Mayotte communicated this 13 April 2022 travel conditions to and from Mayotte.

Travel to Mayotte

Travelers must have a complete vaccination schedule and present the following documents during check-in and boarding :

• Complete vaccination schedule,
• Results of a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a negative antigenic test of Less than 48 hours.

And travelers who do not have a complete vaccination scheme can only travel to France are an imperative reason. And they must present the following parts when recording and boarding :

• Proof of an imperative motif of displacement,
• Results of a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a negative antigenic test of Less than 48 hours,

• Declaration of honor commitment to respect an isolation of 7 days and carry out a test on D+7.

Trips from Mayotte to Madagascar

Travel conditions to Madagascar are now less restrictive.

The PCR test on arrival is replaced by a simple antigen.

The authorities have also removed the obligation of confinement upon entry to Madagascar, except for passengers who tested positive for Covid-19.

If the result of the antigen test is positive, the passenger must confine himself to the hotel or to a care center approved by the State for a period of at least seven days, until you test negative for Covid-19.

Nevertheless, For non-Vaccinated travelers from Mayotte, An imperative motif is necessary since it will be controlled for the return trip to Mayotte : Personal or family imperious reason, health reason for emergency or professional reason that cannot be deferred.

Tourist travel or for holidays do not constitute imperative motifs.
