The 7th edition of the Tourism Forum on investment and business in Africa opportunities (INVESTOUR), jointly organized by the World Tourism Organization, FITUR and Casa África will take place the 21 January 2016 on the occasion of the international exhibition of tourism of Madrid (FITUR).
The Forum has for main objective to promote the development of sustainable tourism in Africa, while promoting exchanges on opportunities of investment and business in Africa.
The structure of this important event is organized in two sessions: the first, dedicated to the round tables and the second session is devoted to business meetings (Business to Business). This is a strategic platform that will put African tourism project leaders and potential international partners in direct contact..
Among the areas highlighted by INVESTOUR, we can cite in particular :
• Financing and investment in tourism projects
• Transfer of technology and know-how in the field of hospitality and tourism
• Ecotourism operations in national parks and protected areas
• Promotion and representation of destination locations on the international outbound market
• The creation and improvement of hotel establishments
• Promotion of cultural tourism
• The development of infrastructure and transport.
Benefiting from the joint support of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), by FITUR and Casa África, and the collaboration of the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV),INVESTOUR Africa has consolidated its position as meeting point between Governments, institutions and entrepreneurs of Africa and the rest of the world, coming together in this forum to exchange knowledge and best practices to facilitate the promotion and development of tourism in Africa, in the essential perspective of ladurabilite and absolute respect for the natural and cultural richness offers the continent.
Objective : attracting foreign investment in the sector of African tourism forum includes two sessions. During the morning, a select group of experts and professionals will share their experiences and their knowledge on key themes for the promotion and development of tourism in Africa, in the context of the two round tables which will be organised.
Thus, the first of these roundtables, The challenges of investment in Africa, will focus on how to attract FDI in the sector of tourism in Africa and will analyse the challenges that must be addressed to promote the attractiveness of the tourism in the region, in order to improve the perception of investors and potential foreign visitors. Similarly, issues such as the management of crisis communication and improving connectivity and policy visas will be discussed during this round table.
On the other hand, the round table entitled
Africa : the future is now to analyse an other axes that define this meeting, namely the need to develop a competitive and innovative brand Africa tourism product, through the renovation of the infrastructure, communications and the application of new technologies in tourist management policies.
