10Second Edition: Festival Zegny'Zo Diégo-Suarez by Hôtel★★★ Restaurant gourmand Coco Lodge Majunga.
Since 2002, the Seth association works to restore a position to culture and to promote the arts in the lives of the inhabitants of the city of Diego Suarez and its surroundings (Northern region of Madagascar).
Performances in neighborhoods and in the Bush, training workshops, opening of a cultural centre, etc. many are the activities of the volunteers from the company. The highlight takes place every year in May when the Organization of the Festival Zegny'Zo, first festival of the arts in the street in Madagascar. Citizen Festival, campaigner for access to culture for all, It is on completely free and brings together artists from here and elsewhere to the delight of small and large.
The 10 to the 14 may 2016, the festival will celebrate its 10 years and we need you to make this anniversary edition, as in previous, a very nice success.
The festival Zegny'Zo is each year :
• An important moment of sharing and promotion of Malagasy culture and the Indian Ocean towards the public but also between artists. Indeed the festival systematically built on knowledge sharing, techniques and knowledge between national and international artists and local artists. The festival Zegny'Zo integrates programming various meeting sessions and training workshops on destination of artists or associations antsiranaises.
• A place of intercultural exchange and creation of geographical and cultural bridges between artists, companies and cultural structures of Madagascar, the Indian Ocean region, Africa and Europe. The human encounter is holds an essential place.
• More than 15 000 in total on the festival spectators who discover, amazed, quality performances and are affected, charmed, shaken, transformed by this experience.
The city, Street, a place, a court… can be very beautiful scenes for artists. All traditional or contemporary shows can there. An important part of artistic programming as the workshops takes place in popular areas of the city.
«Zegny'zo is not a «classic» festival.
Shows in the neighbourhoods, parades and aisles are the highlights of the festival : the purpose of the Zegny' Zo is to invest generously Street, public space, go meet the population and surprise by quality artistic interventions, new or traditional but impertinent and carrier sense.
