Soafaly's file has been successfully made up of all the countless administrative procedures necessary.
The steps with the French consulate in Antananarivo were long and laborious. But today, A great news can be announced : Little Soafaly arrived in France, in Nice, to receive the vital care he needs.
This great success is not the result of an isolated action. It is the result of a good collective effort led by service clubs, Associations and host families. Many committed donors have also contributed to its realization.
Goodnight : A fight for life
SOAFALY a 7 years and live in Majunga, in the Northwest of Madagascar. He has a Rare sarcoma to the left eye. A very aggressive tumor, Only six cases are known in the world.
Soafaly was seen for the first time by a team from The Club Majuga Babe Babe.. The club then alerted the association Mission-son. During a humanitarian mission in November 2024, The association met Soafaly and began to give it free care.
The Mission-Zanaka association acts with disadvantaged populations, and gives training to children for Bucco hygiene- dental.
Several service clubs in France and Madagascar have mobilized. Thanks to this solidarity, Soafaly was able to reach France on 30 august 2025.
A volunteer doctor of the Zanaka mission hosts it today in Nice, in a secure and benevolent setting.
CHU Lenval in Nice has scheduled its operation for the 12 September. The first medical examinations took place the 4 September, with a blood test, imaging and specialized consultations. The medical team now provides for several months..
A obstacle course, Exemplary solidarity
The arrival of Soafaly in France is the culmination of a true journey of the administrative and logistics fighter, well helped by the involvement of many actors :
Around the Zanaka association team mobilized a group of solidarity and formidable people
- TO Majunga, Members of the Léo Club Majunga Baobab, the Lions Club Majunga, as well as local authorities worked for the constitution of the administrative file to obtain authorization to leave the territory.
- TO Antananarivo, A team from the Rotary Ivandry club gathered and submitted a file 30 pages, necessary to obtain a medical visa from the French Consulate.
- TO Nice, members of the association Children, with The support of the Association of the Malagasy Association of the Azur Ensured the reception in volunteer families in Soafaly.
- In Nice, Zanaka's referent doctor closely follows Soafaly's file. He coordinates with the Lenval CHU teams to prepare for the operation of 12 September.
- Julien Lepers was present at the reception of Soafaly at Nice airport in his capacity as sponsor of the little boy.
On the other hand, Association Aviation without borders assured the conveyance of the child of Anatanarivo to Nice
AUSTRAL AIR and MADAGASCAR AIRLINES have taken care of 2 Flights Majunga-Antananarivo for Soafaly and family members for meetings at the French Consulate
