Symbolic victory for Barea

October will forever be remembered by Barea fans. In a decisive match of the World Cup qualifiers 2026, Barea scored a valuable victory against Comoros. Three important points were won, and a place regained in the FIFA rankings. The Barea now occupy the 106ᵉ global position, in front of their Comorian neighbors, who are relegated to 112th.

This success is not the result of chance. Under the direction of Romuald Rakotondrabe, the Malagasy selection has regained rigor, desire and a real collective soul. After a hesitant start to the journey, the players were able to bounce back with character. The victory against the Comoros was a turning point, marking the return of a team that never gives up.
