“A educated girl, an autonomous woman, Guarantor of sustainable development”

Madagascar, The national celebration of the International Day of Women's Rights, 08 March 2023, will be held in Antananarivo.

This year, This event will be placed under the theme “A educated girl, an autonomous woman, Guarantor of sustainable development” or “Education for girls, Women's devotion, Antorical of Jafy Development”.

This theme makes it possible to mobilize state managers, The various stakeholders and the population to think and act to improve the access of Malagasy girls to education and by opening up new opportunities for empowerment and emancipation for them.

Reminder, This day has its origin in women's demonstrations at the beginning of the 20th century, in Europe and the United States, demanding best working conditions and the right to vote. And, it is in 1975, that the United Nations began to celebrate it 8 March.
