At the extreme southeast of Madagascar, Fort-Dauphin overlooks a superb landscape of bays lined with endless beaches. The most famous, one of Libanona, is widely known among surfers and wind surfers.
A 7 kilometres from Fort Dauphin, the Nahampoana nature reserve is a small book private 67 ha. Four species of lemurs are visible: Ring-tailed, Red-fronted brown, bamboo lemurs and Sifakas.
