VISION MADAGASCAR : "A Baobab alley under the sea"
Vision Madagascar, bears an innovative project that combines art, Culture and protection of marine biodiversity in Madagascar.
A unique ecological work, born from a local vision
In Moramba Bay, Huge submarine baobabs in ecological fiber emerge from depths. This unique project attracts a lot of attention. He was imagined and produced by l’ONG Vision Madagascar. His goal is to mix art, Nature and sustainable development.
Ces structures, tall 7 to 8 metres, are inspired by the famous baobabs of Morondava. Made with durable materials, These structures are more than decorative. They serve as essential artificial reefs for marine life. These "sea baobabs" protect fauna, help reproduction of fish and regenerate the corals.
A cultural symbol at the service of conservation
What distinguishes this project, It is its symbolic and identity dimension. In Madagascar, Baobab is much more than a tree : It’s a cultural emblem. Vision Madagascar transformed it into an environmental protection tool, creating a bridge between tradition and innovation.
Already, Several endangered species, like sea filaos, reappear around these structures. The Minister of Fisheries and the Blue Economy, Paubert Malatante, praised the initiative as "A historic advance for marine conservation in Madagascar », During his visit to the site.
Vision Madagascar : At the heart of a lasting and inclusive model
Beyond the ecological aspect, The Madagascar vision objective is clear : Build a sustainable blue economy, for the benefit of local communities. The NGO works hand in hand with fishermen in the region to promote sustainable fishing, raise awareness of marine preservation and create new economic opportunities.
« These structures embody our commitment to associate environmental protection, Sustainable fishing and community involvement », says Vision Madagascar in its press release.
This pilot project in Moramba Bay may well become a model to be replied to the entire Malagasy coastline, even beyond. He proves that a local vision, carried by a committed NGO, can bring out concrete solutions, innovative and carrier of the future.
