Poetry : La slameuse malagasy Caylah à Brazzaville pour la festival Slamouv

The Malagasy slammer Caylah will be in Brazzaville on 20 April for the third edition of the Slamouv festival.

What is slam? ?

The slam consists of a form of rhythmic oral poetry, urban, which takes place in a public place and which takes the form of a meeting or a show. It is an art of oral and stage performance, word focused.

Slam brings to the mastery of the language as much as personal development or socialization. Also, it uses our cognitive resources, our memory, our attention spans, d’observation, of adaptation or expression. It actively mobilizes our multiple intelligences and our skills.

Young slammer from Madagascar

Caylah is a young Malagasy slammer from 22 years old who is not afraid to denounce the societal problems that exist in his country. His video clip entitled “Madagascar” alone sums up all the mastery, the maturity and talent of the slammer.

Young Caylah will show his performance which will be held at the French Institute of Congo Brazzaville. She will share the stage with Guer2vie, Aurora Borealis, Nsoseme and Valdy Mikamona in a concert where the various styles of slam will follow one another.

This will be the only performance during which the public of Congo Brazzaville will be able to discover this Malagasy artist known for her texts with a strong message..

This year the Slamouv Festival has 25 artists from nine countries in Africa and Europe. The Slamouv festival has the particularity of taking place in both Congos, in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo Brazzaville in a program which this year lasts almost two weeks, the 15 April to the 27 April on different sites.

The French alliance of Majunga offers young people the opportunity to learn to slam. In order to create an atmosphere of breast but above all personal development for the young artists of Majunga.
