Rôrô is officially appointed coach of the Barea

Romuald Rakotondrabe aka "Rôrô" is appointed Barea A coach. The information was made official by the Malagasy Football Federation (FMF) on his Facebook page late yesterday afternoon.

After days of waiting and speculation, the federation published on Facebook last night the official appointment of Romuald Rakotondrabe as Barea A coach. Several names had circulated to take the reins of the Barea after the departure of Nicolas Dupuis but that of Rôrô had gained weight.

The successor of Nicolas Dupuis will lead the Barea A for the next two qualifying matches for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2024.

We hope for a better performance and results for the Bareas for the AFCON 2024.

Roro, a real competitor

Rôrô recognizes that his mission is delicate, but as he is already used to confronting difficult situations, there is hope. " It is not easy. But I'm a competitor. I will do everything I can ", reacts Rôrô after his appointment.

Rôrô had already been appointed coach of the national team for the August Island Games in Antananarivo. He will keep this function in parallel with his mandate as coach of Barea A.

The Malagasy Football Federation speaks confirms that "he is a renowned Malagasy technician who has already carried high the honors of the country during the last Chan". Actually, he has the vision and the strategy to breathe new life into the national team.
