Ravinala Airports, acts in favor of a sustainable future for our children !

The environment and education are among the priorities of Ravinala Airports. In this framework, Ravinala Airports has collaborated with several partners to transform airport plastic waste into school furniture for local schools. This while including the rehabilitation of a classroom to accommodate the new equipment.

A promising project

This project promotes a circular economy by collecting, sorting and recycling plastic waste from international airline planes serving Antananarivo airport. This thus contributes to improving educational infrastructure in surrounding schools..

Ravinala Airports coordinates the project and finances the joint initiatives, while the Sofitrans Group ensures the collection and sorting of plastic waste, and Andao Company is responsible for recycling and manufacturing tables and benches.

This project generates impacts

This project has already had a significant positive impact, with more than 1 300 kg of plastic waste collected and recycled, thus avoiding the rejection of 3 510 kg of CO2 in the atmosphere and helping to improve local educational infrastructures, while creating jobs for 4 additional full-time workers.

An example to follow whether in large companies or others, let's act for a sustainable future. To improve our environment, our living conditions… it requires all of us to contribute to using the waste we have and subsequently recycling it.
