Miss and Mister respectful of national values at beauty pageant, Rody Cassim and Sindia Nosy Razafintsalama were elected Miss & Mister Malagasy. A beauty contest forging a link between young people in the diaspora with Madagascar.

Events that honor Malagasy beauty, there are masses in the Big Island. However, in France, "Miss & Mister Malagasy" stands out from the crowd by promoting, above all, respect ingbiding our traditional values among young people in the diaspora.

Far from the local cacophonies and this dream of rhinestones and glitter that the national competitions are all about, this competition is asserting itself, in particular, by its humanitarian and benevolent vocation through its laureates, while combining simplicity and splendor.

Last weekend, they are, Thus, two young men to have been crowned Miss Malagasy 2020 and Mister Malagasy 2020, continuing the tradition of this exclusive beauty contest that highlights its attachment to the country from France.

On the one hand, The Miss, Sindia Nosy Razafintsalama, in their twenties and from Antananarivo, is pursuing a Master's degree in management and organisation at the University of Paris-Dauphine.

On the other, Mister, Rody Cassim, aged 22 born in Mahajanga, aims for a Master's degree in teaching, Education and Training (MEEF).

Set, they prefer, through their new statutes, being standard-bearers of various associative and humanitarian actions in their home countries.

Far from them the idea of going to run behind famous international beauty contests.

Rody and Sindia Nosy plan to use their images to raise awareness of the problems facing the Big Island from France. All this while displaying, in a committed way, the great values that govern Malagasy society, such as mutual aid and solidarity.

Promoting this country-specific culture is also a top priority.

"For my part, I have already undertaken several solidarity projects in the country, particularly in the city of Antsirabe, about the creation of a hostel and a nursery school. This contest will help me, Definitely, to bring more visibility to our actions and to represent Madagascar and its culture with dignity"", says Rody Cassim.

The young Sindia Nosy to add "I feel, currently, a great pride and a huge sense of gratitude. For me, the next step would be to make our humanitarian projects a reality and to unite the Malagasy community in France around our actions in Madagascar.".
