Mahajanga will host the 11th edition of the Indian Ocean Islands Games
The 11th edition of the Indian Ocean Island Games will take place from 25 August at the 3 September 2023 in Madagascar. Actually, Mahajanga will be among the cities that will welcome the 23 selected disciplines.

Mahajanga, Antananarivo, Sainte-Marie, and Fort-Dauphin will be the host cities for the Indian Ocean Island Games. And the city of flowers is the second city that will welcome the most participants.
Mahajanga is already ready, the city just needs some rehabilitation on certain infrastructures and others are already being finished, namely the Olympic swimming pool in Ampisikina, which will be ready before the Games to host the swimming and handi-swimming competitions.
besides swimming, Mahajanga will also host taekwondo, karate and volleyball. The competitions in these disciplines will be held at the Ampisikina sports complex and at the Mangarivotra gymnasium..
Le beach volley et le beach soccer, for their part, should take place on the beach of the tourist village.
