The rains (30 to 60 mm/24 hours) will still persist until tomorrow on MELAKY, TEACHER, SOUTH EAST, Analalava and Antsohihy. Therefore, heavy rain vigilance will remain in effect. Maritime users on the North-West, West, Southwest, South and between Farafangana and Taolagnaro are asked not to venture out to sea because the weather conditions will remain gloomy.
Increasingly heavy damage has been observed
After the passage of the strong tropical storm CHENESO in Madagascar. This bad weather entered by the northeast coasts of the country on Thursday 19 Last January. The strong tropical storm CHENESO has weakened and turned into a depression on land. For several days, incessant rains were observed in Antananarivo, Capital of Madagascar. Bad weather that is still likely to persist according to the weather forecast for next week. “Heavy rain will still be expected in the northwest, the center-west and south-east of the country with a risk of rising waters”, warns the Ministry of Transport and Meteorology.
CHENESO is the first tropical storm to hit Madagascar since the beginning of the year 2023. The country which is still in the middle of the hurricane season until April.
MORONDAVA EXIT GATE
