The African Nations Football Championship (CHAN)is an international football competition in Africa, organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) every two years alternating with the CAN.
The opening ceremony of the 7th edition took place yesterday at the new Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki, in Algiers, Algerian capital.
Eighteen countries divided into five groups will play during this edition. Actually, the Barea of Madagascar will participate. They will play in group C. They completed two training sessions, the first took place last Thursday morning, then they tested the waters last night. And yes, they are already ready for the match. Send the Barea !

Normally, the Barea of Madagascar will play in group C with initially Ghana, Morocco and Sudan but with the withdrawal of the Moroccan team, they will only find themselves with two adversaries, namely Ghana and Sudan.
The absence of Morocco could be favorable to the protégés of Rôrô RAKOTONDRABE who benefit from more time to prepare for their second match against Sudan.
Indeed, the entry into the running of Barea CHAN is scheduled for 15 January against Ghana. Madagascar was then due to play its second match against Morocco on 19 January before facing Sudan on 23 January.
