Cyclone Freddy broke the world longevity record

Cyclone Freddy is the fourth named storm of the Australian region's hurricane season 2022-2023 and the sixth of the hurricane season 2022-2023 in the southwest Indian Ocean. It was the cyclone that broke the world record for longevity and power after John, en 1994.

Freddy is classified as the longest cyclone in history and with an unprecedented trajectory.
