Today we celebrate International Tourism Day. Marked by the World Tourism Organization since 1979, the date of the 27 September was chosen to celebrate a day to raise awareness of the value of the tourism sector at a social level, economic and cultural. It is also a great opportunity for each country to show their cultural potential and to raise awareness of responsible tourism..

Reminder, since the arrival of Covid-19, Madagascar's tourism sector has been hit hard by the economic crisis. More than 2 000billions of ariary of losses were recorded, just in 2021 according to the report of the Confederation of Tourism of Madagascar (Ctm). It is in this context that UNWTO has chosen this year's theme which is “Rethinking tourism”. Indeed, all stakeholders are invited to engage in reflection and rethink actions in favor of more responsible tourism, sustainable, inclusive and resilient.
