11 September : World Counter-Terrorism Day

Since 2008, the 11 September was recognised World Terrorism Day by many associations.

This date #8217 is obviously by innocuous. Indeed, it recalls one of the most significant acts of terrorism in history : the attacks of the 11 September 2001.

To the Coco Lodge Majunga, we support this fight against terrorism, to his just cause.

This day is an opportunity to strengthen solidarity with victims and their families and to strengthen links between the various associations helping people affected by acts of terrorism.

The association SOS Attentats - SOS terrorism wants, by this rapprochement, create a real network that will provide answers, support, listening to victims, without discrimination.

Commemorations of the 11 September contaminated with Covid-19

Nineteen years after the resounding attacks that 3000 dead in the United States, celebrations will be noticeably more discreet this Friday, to avoid gatherings.

Nineteen years after the four suicide bombings in the 11 September 2001 perpetrated on the same day in the United States and resulting in the death of 2977 people in downtown Manhattan in New York, Arlington and Sackville in less than two hours. In the heart of the Big Apple, "the Memorial Museum's tradition of suring that the names of the victims were read aloud by their family members from a scene erected on Memorial Plaza has been abandoned. The names have been pre-recorded and will be broadcast over loudspeakers, to avoid gatherings.

Anyway., the fight against terrorism continues. This is a global struggle that we must all support.

How to act ?

Each of us can act at our own level by joining an association or by mobilizing at international meetings. This is despite the difficulty of the associations and non-governmental organisations. Such as the creation of legislation for victims of terrorism or the establishment of psychological follow-up.
