Health formalities on the Comoros-Madagascar trip

As already announced, Air Madagascar will resume the Comoros – Madagascar line from 07 July 2022. As part of this reopening, In this article we communicate to you the health formalities to follow.

Travel to Comoros

Travelers must have a complete vaccination schedule and present the following documents during check-in and boarding :

• Corresponding complete vaccination schedule at least 28 days after administration of a dose of Janssen vaccine (Johnson and Johnson) and at least 7 days after administration of the second dose for other vaccines : AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria, Covishield, R-Cov, Fiocruz), Modern, Novavax, Pfizer-BioNTech.

• Results of a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours in the absence of proof of a complete vaccination schedule.

Travel from Comoros to Madagascar

Travel conditions to Madagascar are now less restrictive. Indeed, the authorities have removed the confinement obligation.

On the other hand, They require :

• Negative RT-PCR test performed less than 72 hours before departure mandatory
• Antigen testing upon arrival at TNR : paying at 15EUR or 20USD or 65 000Ariary per passenger (5 years and older).

For passengers who test negative, they are free to leave the airport (domicile, hotel or other establishment). On the other hand, if the antigen test result is positive, the passenger must confine himself to the hotel or to a care center approved by the State for a period of at least seven days, until you test negative for Covid-19.

It should be noted that wearing a mask is still mandatory in groups in closed places, check-in rooms and waiting rooms at airports whether departing from Comoros or Tana.
