Indeed, meetings follow one another within the Ministry of Transport and Meteorology to discuss the extension of the gradual reopening of Madagascar's borders, planned for the next few months.

The 11 last February, a meeting between the Minister Tinoka Roberto and theAmbassador of Mauritius to Madagascar took place. Highlights were discussed, in particular the criteria required by the two countries for the effectiveness of the reopening of the borders.

Technical meetings have also taken place to date with a few airlines, in particular with Ethiopian Airlines and Air Mauritius as part of this extension..

Opening from Nosy-Be

For the case of other airports in Madagascar, the opening of commercial flights to Nosy-Be remains a priority for the State. Nosy-Be can now accommodate cruise ships.

Actually, the various entities concerned, namely the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Civil Aviation of Madagascar are currently carrying out the study focused on strengthening economic control measures, airport security and health measures.

According to a press release from the Ministry, meetings between the various ministerial officials are held to discuss these aspects.
