And he adds that these twelve passengers will be quarantined in a large hotel in the capital while awaiting the results of their PCR tests.

Indeed, it makes a cargo flight three times a week between Addis Ababa and Madagascar.

Other flights will land

The Minister recalled that other flights are exceptionally authorized to land soon at Ivato airport in order to transport our athletes who have participated in international competitions..

The same day of Ethiopian Airlines landing at Ivato, 130 passengers took this flight to Addis Ababa, according to information published by Air and Border Police officials. Among which, 80 passengers are Malagasy nationals, including nuns and members of the GNBC national basketball team who will compete in the Afrobasket.

According to him, the government will no longer consider any request to avoid the entry of new imported cases.

For land transport, transport to closed regions remains suspended. These regions are particularly : Analamanga, Eastern, SAVA, Vakinankaratra, High Matsiatra and Anosy.

As for the transport of goods, they are allowed to continue their activities. Same for cargo flights.
