The CDC, which forms the main American public health protection agency, has published a ranking of countries according to the risks of Covid-19 contamination.. Madagascar appears in the section of the most reassuring countries.
Good news
They are rare in recent months, especially in health matters. In a publication made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Madagascar is on the list of countries with the least risk of coronavirus contamination, in the world.
Set, CDC is America's primary public health surveillance and protection agency. The publication on their website, do it 13 September, reports their recommendations for travelers, including United States nationals, depending on the country of destination. The different countries of the world are classified according to four levels of risk of Covid-19 contamination..
Madagascar is therefore included in the list of countries where the risk of coronavirus contamination is considered to be the lowest., in the same way as twenty-eight other States. Around ten African countries, particularly from sub-Saharan Africa, are on this list which is arranged in alphabetical order. Besides the Big Island, Comoros is one of them, also. Our neighbors, such as Mauritius and the Maldives are in the section of States with a very high risk of contamination.
The island of Réunion, Seychelles, the South Africa, or, several European countries including France, are, also, included in the list of countries that present a very high risk, of Covid-19 contamination, according to the CDC.
Reopening of borders
To return to Madagascar, the ranking published on 13 September is a good omen, while the authorities plan to reopen the borders, next month.
Relaunch tourism as quickly as possible is, among others, a goal in reopening borders. The fact that a health entity of the magnitude of the CDC, affirms that Madagascar is one of the most reassuring countries in terms of risk of coronavirus contamination should ease the apprehensions of international travelers.
This classification can, also, be a snub to international mockery regarding the reliability of assertions about the health situation on the Big Island.
The authorities are holding a series of meetings to ensure that the reopening of the borders takes place under the best conditions, without ignoring the concern to protect the country from health risks. The idea of a gradual reopening, is favored so far.
