Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October 2020, the Departmental Council of Mayotte and theMY NAME (Mayotte Development and Innovation Agency) launched the third edition of the Mayotte Economic Forum. The CEOI (Crossroads of Entrepreneurs in the Indian Ocean) and Coco Lodge Majunga did not fail to participate.
L’innovation, Tourism, Training, and the opening
The Departmental Council and ADIM continue their operation to attract investors for the development of the territory. This 3rd edition of the Mayotte Economic Forum took place over two days of discussions.
On the exchange program : Mayotte and its development on the horizon 2050, l’Innovation, tourism, Training of men and women, opening onto the Indian Ocean and the Mozambique Channel, the energies of tomorrow and digital.
“This year the Forum will focus on Innovation, the calls for Innovative Projects and above all it will seek to ask in a different way the question of employment and training of Mahorais and Mahorais. Certainly, international borders are still almost closed due to the health crisis linked to covid-19. But ADIM and the Mayotte Departmental Council have found a very practical solution for the conduct of this third edition of the Mayotte Economic Forum.. They organized the meeting on the internet, where Coco Lodge Majunga, represented by Mr Eric PETITJEAN, was present.
Space for friendship in business
Also administrator at the CEOI office in charge of the West Coast of Madagascar, Eric PETITJEAN, takes this project to heart.
The CEOI or the Crossroads of Entrepreneurs of the Indian Ocean is an association bringing together Economic Operators from all sectors of activity in the Indian Ocean in a context “SPACE FOR FRIENDSHIP IN BUSINESS”. Created now 20 years under the leadership of Xavier DESPLANQUES, Since January 2000, the crossroads now has more than a thousand supporters.
The founders were and are : Xavier DESPLANQUES, Cyril JUGE, Elia RAVELOMANANTSOA, Admiral HASSIM and Roland RAVANDISON.
Four out of the five founders are still there twenty years later, with the sole objective of developing friendly relations between executives and business leaders in the Indian Ocean region. All names are published in the latest directory with exactly to date :

- 83 supporters in Mauritius
- 100 supporters in Mayotte
- 52 supporters at the Reunion
- 17 supporters in Comoros
- 02 supporters in Seychelles
In totality, There are 1005 sympathizers, according to March update 2020.
In January 2019, the founders' office expanded to accommodate four new administrators in charge of neighboring islands :

- Norbert MARTINEZ for Mayotte
- Dominique DENAT for Seychelles
In January 2020, the office of the founders was further expanded to welcome five new administrators in charge of the Malagasy territories :
- Salim KARMALY for the Hauts Plateaux
- Jean-Michel FRACHET for the South Coast
- Eric PETITJEAN for the West Coast
- Gérard DIORE from PERIGNY for the East Coast
- Daniel LOZES for the North Coast
