African Judo Championships : Alefa Madagascar !

Let's go for the African Junior and Cadet Judo Championships. The best judokas of 18 countries of the continent will meet for this youth summit to be held at the Palace of Sports and Culture in Mahamasina this Thursday until Sunday.

African Judo Championships : Alefa Madagascar !

Algeria, Angola, burundi, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, the Comoros, Egypt, The gabon, Guinea, and Kenya, Madagascar, the Morocco, Mauritius, niger, the South Africa, the Senegal, Tunisia and Zimbabwe were present for these African Youth Championships.

For Madagascar, the objective is to win the maximum number of medals on its territory. The Big Island will field fighters in all categories. In any, 36 Malagasy judokas will go up on the tatami of the Sports Palace whose 18 junior fighters and 18 cadets.

To the program

A en croire Mamy Randriamasinoro, National Technical Director, the championships will start with the junior playoffs this Thursday morning, and will continue with the final stages in the afternoon.

The team fights will be held this Friday for the juniors for this African youth summit. These championships are linked with the cadets, this saturday and sunday. The draw for the tournament took place yesterday at the Ibis hotel, Ivandry, for the junior category. Cadets will stand this day.

Laura Rasoanaivo, exempted from the first round

Laura Rasoanaivo will be exempted from the first round of this competition. It will present the big island to the games of the islands of La Francophonie which will begin on 28 July and will close on 6 August with Fabio Rakotoarimanana.

Fabio Rakotoarimananana, table tennis player is designated to carry the flag during the opening ceremony while Laura Rasoanaivo will do so for the closing ceremony Haja Resampa indicated, Minister of Youth and Sports.
