“There should be more boxes to take samples for PCR counter-tests at Ivato airport. Similarly, we should increase the number of boxes to pay the costs of these counter-tests. Payment should also be computerized. »

The Ministry of Transport and Meteorology explained that these new measures will be taken with a view to "to optimize the processing time of passengers as much as possible from disembarkation to the shuttle". They should also help to "reduce as much as possible the risk of spreading the virus" of Covid-19.
Monday 08 November, the Minister of Transport and Meteorology and that of Tourism as well as the other entities concerned by the opening of borders, went down to Ivato "in order to ensure the effectiveness of the measures undertaken". They also announced other measures to come “with a view to improving the passenger processing chain”.
2 000 passengers since reopening
“Depuis le 23 October when the country reopened air traffic, 2 000 passengers disembarked in Madagascar.” had specified the Minister of Tourism Joël Randriamandranto.
Half of these passengers are residents, and the other half non-residents.
As a reason for travel, 41% came for tourism, 28% for family reasons and 13% for other reasons.
